Home Based Investment Group was founded in 2021 by Army veteran Cory Sears — locally and veteran-owned, proudly serving Brownsburg, Avon, Plainfield, Danville and communities throughout Hendricks County. From kitchens and bathrooms to decks and outdoor living spaces, our goal is simple: help homeowners improve their homes with confidence.
I started Home Based Investment Group because I wanted to build something of my own that could provide for my family while allowing me to serve people the right way.
My military background taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of doing what you say you’re going to do. Running a business has taught me plenty of lessons too — probably the biggest being that your reputation is built one job and one relationship at a time.
My family is the reason behind all of it. They’re what keeps me pushing forward through the long days, stressful weeks, and growing pains that come with owning a business.
To me, quality means taking pride in the work, communicating honestly, and treating someone’s home like it matters — because it does.
